Supreme Court Decision Looms on Abortion Pill Restrictions

The US Supreme Court is set to rule on whether women will face restrictions in accessing mifepristone, a drug used in medication abortions. Abortion opponents are seeking to roll back FDA approval of the drug, while the Biden administration and the drug's maker, Danco Laboratories, want the court to reject limits on its use. The legal challenge comes less than a year after conservative justices allowed more than a dozen states to effectively ban abortion outright. The court is expected to issue an order on Wednesday, with arguments set for 17 May.
