Arizona House expels GOP Rep. Liz Harris over ethics violations.

The Arizona House of Representatives has expelled Republican lawmaker Liz Harris after she organized a presentation making unsubstantiated accusations that a wide range of politicians, judges, and public officials of both parties took bribes from a Mexican drug cartel. The bipartisan vote came after the House Ethics Committee determined Harris had engaged in “disorderly behavior” in violation of the chamber’s rules. Harris, a prominent supporter of discredited election conspiracies, did not speak ahead of the expulsion vote and called the ethics report “a lie.” By law, Harris must be replaced by a Republican.
