The power of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) offices in American universities is becoming a major reason for the institutionalization of critical race theory. These offices act as speech police within the university and exercise a broad writ on campus. Last week, a mob of law students at Stanford Law School shouted down Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Kyle Duncan, which was an ugly display unfit for any institution of higher learning.
