Air Quality Alerts Issued Across Michigan and Wisconsin

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy has issued an Air Quality Alert for Tuesday, June 27 due to smoke from the Canadian wildfires affecting both the Upper and Lower Peninsulas. The alert ranges from Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups, with the potential to reach Unhealthy for all at certain points. Sensitive groups, such as people with lung disease, heart disease, and children and older adults, should limit prolonged or heavy exertion and reduce or eliminate activities that contribute to air pollution.
