House passes solar panel tariff restoration bill, Biden threatens veto.

The US House of Representatives has voted to restore tariffs on solar panels from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam, which were waived by President Joe Biden last year to boost domestic solar panel manufacturing. The tariff moratorium was imposed to keep solar panels coming into the country as the US boosts capacity. The president has pledged to veto congressional efforts to repeal the solar tariff waiver, which could eliminate 30,000 jobs and $4.2bn in domestic investment, according to the Solar Energy Industries Association.
