A study from the Centre de Recherche Charles-Le Moyne in Quebec suggests that individuals with a longer ring finger than index finger are more likely to have psychopathic tendencies, indicating a potential biological root for psychopathy. The research, which involved 80 participants, found a clear link between a lower 2D:4D finger ratio and antisocial traits, as well as higher scores on Dark Triad personality tests. Lead researcher Serge Brand explained that these results are associated with increased exposure to testosterone and decreased exposure to estrogen in the womb, but emphasized that finger length ratio is not an absolute indicator of psychopathy.
