Emma Van Carlen lost 40 pounds through fasting and a ketogenic diet without exercise. She started with an intermittent fasting schedule called OMAD, where she ate just one meal a day, and then did a mix of intermittent fasting schedules as well as some longer fasts of 48 hours or longer. She also switched to a ketogenic diet, which got her body fat adapted, meaning that she felt less hungry, was able to fast for longer, and could keep her insulin levels constantly low, which supercharged her fat loss. She also cut out alcohol and all sodas and anything with artificial sweeteners. She believes that fasting melted her fat off and has become a Fasting Coach to help others achieve weight loss and health through fasting.
