Meta considers $14/month ad-free plan for Instagram and Facebook in Europe

Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, is reportedly considering a plan to offer ad-free versions of its platforms to users in the European Union for a monthly fee of around $14. Users would have the option to either pay for the ad-free experience or continue using the free versions with personalized ads. The proposed plan aims to comply with evolving regulatory requirements in the region. Meta has informed European regulators about its intention to roll out the subscription-based ad-free plan, known as Subscription No Ads (SNA), in the coming months.
