Quaker Oats issues nationwide recall of granola products due to salmonella risk

Quaker Oats has issued a recall for over 40 granola bar and granola cereal products due to potential salmonella contamination. The products, sold in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, and Saipan, have the potential to be contaminated with salmonella. Quaker Oats has not received any confirmed reports of illness related to the recalled items. Salmonella can cause symptoms such as diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps, with severe infections more likely in infants, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems.
