"FDA Expands Eye Drop Recall: 3 New Products Added, List Now at 29"

The FDA has issued warnings about more than two dozen over-the-counter eye drop products sold at major retail stores and pharmacies, including Target and CVS, due to the presence of bacteria that can cause eye infections and potentially lead to vision loss or blindness. Eye drops contaminated with the drug-resistant bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa have been linked to several infections and four deaths. This is the FDA's second recall of contaminated eye drops, with a previous incident earlier this year causing severe infections and significant vision loss.
