CDC Warns of Salmonella Outbreak Linked to Recalled Charcuterie Meats

The CDC has expanded its warning about salmonella infections linked to recalled charcuterie meats, with 47 reported illnesses in 22 states, almost double the previous count. The warning now includes Busseto brand Charcuterie Sampler and Fratelli Beretta brand Antipasto Gran Beretta, sold at Sam’s Club and Costco respectively. Consumers are advised to discard these products and take precautions in cleaning surfaces and containers that may have been in contact with the recalled items. Symptoms of salmonella typically appear within six hours to six days and can include diarrhea, fever, and vomiting.
