"Biden Administration Unveils National Strategy to Electrify Freight Truck Infrastructure"
The Biden-Harris Administration has released the National Zero-Emission Freight Corridor Strategy, aiming to accelerate the deployment of zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty vehicle charging and hydrogen fueling infrastructure from 2024 to 2040. This strategy, developed in collaboration with the Department of Transportation and the Environmental Protection Agency, seeks to improve air quality in communities impacted by diesel emissions and align with the goal of promoting at least 30 percent zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty vehicle sales by 2030 and 100 percent by 2040. The Federal Highway Administration has also designated National Electric Vehicle Freight Corridors to support the development of a national EV charging network, with a focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting clean commerce within the freight community.
