Toyota Unveils Exciting Lineup of Electric Concepts for Tokyo Auto Show

Toyota has released teaser images of two upcoming all-electric concepts, the FT-3e and FT-Se, ahead of their reveal at the Japan Mobility Show 2023. The FT-3e is described as an "SUV-like" concept with sharp, angular shapes and personalized features powered by innovative technologies. The FT-Se is a Supra-inspired two-door electric coupe concept that shares major components with the FT-3e. Toyota plans to debut its first series-production EVs based on its next-gen platform in 2025, capable of driving over 497 miles on a full charge and recharging from 10% to 80% in about 20 minutes. The cost of the lithium-ion battery is expected to be 20% lower than current models, with a cheaper variant offering over 372 miles of range slated for production in 2026 or 2027. Solid-state batteries are also in development for market launch in 2027 or 2028.
