Toyota Recalls 280,000 Vehicles for Transmission Issue

Toyota is recalling 280,000 pickups and SUVs in the U.S. due to a transmission issue that could cause the vehicles to keep moving even when in neutral, posing a crash risk. The affected models include certain Toyota Tundras, Lexus LX 600 vehicles, and some Toyota Sequoias manufactured between 2022 and 2024. Toyota will update the transmission software for impacted customers for free and owners will be notified to bring their cars to a dealer by late April. This comes after previous recalls related to airbag and fire risks.
