"Stellantis' New Ram Pickup: A Hybrid EV with Turbo Power and Range Extender"

Automaker Stellantis plans to release the Ram 1500 Ramcharger, an electric pickup truck equipped with an electric generator and a gas engine. The truck operates as a zero-emissions EV until the battery dies, at which point the generator kicks in to power the vehicle. This hybrid technology aims to address range anxiety and provide the benefits of an EV without sacrificing performance. The Ramcharger is expected to have a range of up to 690 miles, surpassing the current Ram 1500. The truck also features bidirectional charging capabilities and is set to go on sale in late 2024.
