Community Health Systems, the parent company of Crestwood Medical Center, has notified patients of a data security incident that occurred between January 28th and January 30th, 2023. The incident involved a third-party cybersecurity company, Fortra LLC, and its file transfer software called GoAnywhere. The personal data of affected patients, including full name, address, medical billing and insurance information, certain medical information, birth date, and social security number, may have been exposed. Community Health Systems is offering 24 months of free ID restoration and credit monitoring services to those affected.
