Liquid green hydrogen is gaining attention as an energy-dense and economical alternative, with applications in forklifts, aviation, and maritime transport. Additionally, GM and Honda have started volume production for their Fuel Cell System Manufacturing joint venture, and efforts are underway to drive down the cost of green hydrogen production through innovative technologies.

ZeroAvia has received a 76-passenger plane from Alaska Airlines to retrofit with zero-emissions technology, and has unveiled its "HyperCore" motor modules, a 1.8MW modular electric motor system that could potentially propel the 76-seat Dash 8-400 electric plane. The company is targeting commercialized electric plane operations beginning with 300 mile range, 9-19 seat aircraft by 2025 and is already eyeing flights with 40-80 seat aircraft with up to 700 miles of range by 2027.
