"Airbnb Prohibits Indoor Security Cameras to Safeguard Guest Privacy"
Airbnb has announced a ban on all indoor security cameras in its listings worldwide, effective April 30. Previously, the company allowed visible indoor security cameras in common areas if hosts disclosed them, but the widespread use of such cameras has raised concerns about privacy. The new policy prohibits security cameras anywhere inside the properties, even if they are visible. Outdoor security cameras, noise decibel monitors, and doorbell cameras will still be allowed, but hosts must disclose their presence and general location before guests book.
