"Early Evolution of Art: Ancient Artworks Linked to Extinct Human Relatives"

Recent discoveries, including a 50,000-year-old engraved bone found in the Unicorn Cave in central Germany, suggest that artistic expression in humans may have evolved much earlier than previously thought. This challenges the assumption that artistic expression developed as humans evolved into their modern form, Homo Sapiens, and raises the possibility of Neanderthals creating art. If substantiated, this discovery could reshape the study of human evolution and suggest that advanced skills like speech and language may not be necessary for artistic expression.
