"Multiple Charcuterie Meat Recalls Nationwide Due to Contamination and Under Processing"

Fratelli Beretta USA, Inc. is recalling ready-to-eat meat charcuterie products due to possible under processing, which may have led to contamination with foodborne pathogens, specifically Salmonella. The products were distributed nationwide and bear establishment numbers "EST. M47967 or M7543B." Consumers are advised not to consume these products and to either discard them or return them to the place of purchase. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service is conducting an investigation and working with health partners to address the issue.

"FSIS and USDA Alert: Potential Health Risks in Canned Meat and SPAM Products"

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public health alert for a canned meat product due to possible under processing. The product, "SPAM Classic," produced by Hormel Foods Corp. Services, LLC, with a "BEST BY AUG 2026" date and lot code A08173, may not have been adequately processed for commercial sterility. Although a recall was not requested as the product is believed to no longer be available for purchase, consumers are urged not to consume it if found in their pantries or refrigerators. No adverse reactions have been reported so far.
