Storm Sara's Aftermath: Deadly Rains and Lingering Threats
Tropical Storm Sara has caused severe flooding in Honduras, isolating over 1,700 communities and affecting more than 110,000 people. The storm, which formed in the Caribbean Sea, has led to the destruction of nine bridges and damage to 19 others, with many roads becoming impassable due to landslides. While only one death has been reported, over 2,500 homes have been damaged. The storm is expected to weaken as it moves towards Mexico. Experts warn that climate change is intensifying such storms, increasing the risk of significant damage.
