Rapper Bun B has opened the first brick-and-mortar location of his Trill Burgers restaurant in Houston's Montrose neighborhood. The 3,236-square-foot outlet features a drive-thru and was formerly home to one of Houston’s longest-running James Coney Island locations. Trill Burgers was launched in Houston in 2021 with a series of pop-ups and was crowned “best burger in America” by Good Morning America last summer. The restaurant is co-owned by Bun B and four others.

Rapper Bun B's Trill Burgers restaurant is having a soft opening in Houston on Wednesday, marking the eatery's first brick-and-mortar location. Houston hip-hop legend Bun B and his partners have opened the first brick-and-mortar location of their smash hit smash burger concept, Trill Burgers, in Montrose. The restaurant will be open daily from 11 am until 9 pm for at least the next six months while it searches for a more permanent home. Trill Burgers has operated as a pop-up, served at events such as the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and the Coachella festival, and been a recent addition to both Shell Energy Stadium and NRG Stadium.
