Global Community Unites for Earth Hour to Combat Climate Change.
Earth Hour, the largest global grassroots movement for the environment, is set to take place on Saturday, March 27th. Millions of people from over 190 countries and territories will turn off their lights for one hour to raise awareness about climate change. The event was launched in 2007 by the World Wildlife Fund and has led to other actions related to curbing climate change. Participants are encouraged to use their lights-off hour to do something positive for the planet, such as spending time outdoors, picking up trash, or sharing information about climate change.
