Roberts referred the request to the Judicial Conference, which serves as the policy-making body of the federal courts. The request came after a ProPublica report found that Thomas had gone on several luxury trips at the invitation of a GOP megadonor, which were not disclosed on his public financial filings. The Judicial Conference will now review the matter.
