Blue Origin's New Shepard Rocket Set for Long-Awaited Return to Space
Blue Origin is set to launch its New Shepard rocket for the first time in over a year on December 18. The cargo mission, titled NS-24, will carry research and scientific payloads, marking the suborbital rocket's return to flight after a 14-month hiatus due to a mid-launch failure. The Federal Aviation Administration has closed its investigation into the failed mission and required Blue Origin to make improvements. The New Shepard rocket launches from Blue Origin's private facility in Texas and has flown 31 people past the edge of space to date.
