NC State Community Mourns Sixth Student Suicide of the Year

NC State University is offering counseling services for students, faculty, and staff after two students died by suicide, bringing the campus death toll to 14 this year. The university has opened its counseling center for drop-in visits and announced more appointments will be available. NC State Chancellor Randy Woodson released a statement detailing other resources available to the NC State community. In total, 14 NC State students have died this year, and seven of those deaths have come by suicide. The university has brought on more help in the counseling center and there are now more than 45 clinical positions.
