Canadian Wildfires Cause Smoke Cancellations and Health Concerns Across U.S.
Smoke from over 400 Canadian wildfires has caused concert, sporting event, and flight cancellations in the East and Midwest of the US. The orange haze has led to unhealthy air pollutants, making breathing difficult and causing the air quality index to exceed 400 at times in New York and Pennsylvania. The cancellations come as even healthy people are advised to curtail outdoor physical activity when the air quality index exceeds 300.
