PA Suspends All Ties with Israel Following Jenin Raid

The US State Department has urged increased security cooperation between the PA and Israel, while a UN envoy is working to restore calm. The PA has also vowed to step up activity against Israel in international bodies and minimize contact with the United States. The raid, aimed at terror groups, has resulted in the deaths of eight Palestinians and injuries to 80 others. The IDF has emphasized that the operation is not targeting the PA.

Palestinian Leadership Halts All Contacts with Israel Following Jenin Raid

The Palestinian leadership has decided to halt all contact and meetings with Israel, as well as continue the suspension of security coordination between the Palestinian and Israeli security forces. They have also limited their relationship with the United States due to perceived failure in pressuring Israel. The decision was made during an emergency meeting in response to the large-scale IDF operation in Jenin Refugee Camp. The Palestinian leadership called for unity among Palestinian factions and affirmed the right to self-defense. They also declared that previous understandings with Israel are no longer valid. The leadership renewed its call for international protection and sanctions on Israel from the United Nations.
