PA Suspends All Ties with Israel Following Jenin Raid
The Palestinian Authority (PA) has announced the suspension of security coordination with Israel and the cutting of other ties in protest of a large-scale raid on the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank. The US State Department has urged increased security cooperation between the PA and Israel, while a UN envoy is working to restore calm. The PA has also vowed to step up activity against Israel in international bodies and minimize contact with the United States. The raid, aimed at terror groups, has resulted in the deaths of eight Palestinians and injuries to 80 others. The IDF has emphasized that the operation is not targeting the PA.
