Palestinian Leadership Halts All Contacts with Israel Following Jenin Raid

The Palestinian leadership has decided to halt all contact and meetings with Israel, as well as continue the suspension of security coordination between the Palestinian and Israeli security forces. They have also limited their relationship with the United States due to perceived failure in pressuring Israel. The decision was made during an emergency meeting in response to the large-scale IDF operation in Jenin Refugee Camp. The Palestinian leadership called for unity among Palestinian factions and affirmed the right to self-defense. They also declared that previous understandings with Israel are no longer valid. The leadership renewed its call for international protection and sanctions on Israel from the United Nations.
