Cyprus is set to dispatch an aid ship to Gaza within the next 24 hours, according to Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides. This initiative comes after the European Union announced the imminent opening of a humanitarian corridor between Cyprus and Gaza, a move welcomed by Israel but subject to security checks.
Starting in 2024, Americans planning to visit Europe will be required to apply for a travel authorization through the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS). The online application carries a nonrefundable fee of 7 euros per person and must be completed prior to the trip. Failure to obtain the authorization may result in being denied boarding. The ETIAS is not a visa but is intended to strengthen security checks on travelers from countries that can visit Europe's Schengen area without a visa. The program is expected to be operational in 2024, and travelers are advised to apply for the authorization as soon as they make their bookings.
