A Hazmat team contained a chemical spill of over 50 gallons at Best Finishes business in downtown Colorado Springs after a fire sparked in the building overnight. The fire did not cause any other damage, and the spill has been contained with no threat to the area. Citizens were told to avoid the area of Cimarron Street and El Paso Street.
The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Mariano Grossi, has abandoned the idea of creating a safety and security zone around the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine. Instead, he is focusing on the principle that "a nuclear power plant should not be attacked, under any circumstances, or should not be used to attack others," or be used as a military base or to store heavy weapons. Russian troops have been occupying the plant since March last year, while its operations have remained in the hands of Ukrainian staff.
