UD community warned of car thefts and attempted thefts.

The University of Dayton issued a safety advisory after four cars were stolen and three attempts were made to steal cars around campus overnight. All cars involved were either Kias or Hyundais, and three have been recovered. The university is urging owners of these vehicles to purchase and install a steering wheel lock to deter individuals from engaging in an ongoing TikTok challenge to steal these particular vehicle makes.
