The Barnard 150 dark nebula, also known as the Seahorse nebula, located 1,200 light-years from Earth in the Cepheus constellation, is a Rorschach test for observers, with some seeing a seahorse and others a leash attached to a human. Photographer Tom Carrico captured the image using a 2-inch diameter RedCat 51 telescope, taking 78 exposures over 6.5 hours from the dark skies of eastern Oregon.

The Rorschach ink blots, used for psychological diagnosis around the world, have been reproduced for over a century, but the process of printing them has remained a secret until now. The ink blots were created by Swiss psychologist Hermann Rorschach, who developed his own test using images that seem not to have been made at all but which were not simply random. The printing process is so secretive that even the printer does not know it all, and new copies are only printed every five years or so.
