One of NASCAR's L-R prototypes, developed in the 1980s for road racing, is set to be auctioned off in January. The L-R car was lighter and shorter than existing Cup Series machinery, with the intention of creating a series that raced on road courses and street circuits. Although the series never materialized, the prototype is now up for auction along with other NASCAR memorabilia.

Kyle Busch's level of preparedness and feedback in meetings have made an impact on Richard Childress Racing and its aligned teams. Sunday's NASCAR race at Atlanta Motor Speedway marks the final race in NASCAR's five-race trial with the expanded restart zone.
