International Allies Boost Ukraine's Defense with Advanced Drone and Anti-Drone Technology

Ukraine's allies in Europe, including Germany and Norway, are sending new unmanned aerial systems and counter-drone equipment to support Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia. German weapons maker Rheinmetall is set to deliver its LUNA NG reconnaissance drone, part of a military aid package, which can remain airborne for over twelve hours and has a datalink range of up to 300 kilometers. Additionally, Ukraine will receive CORTEX Typhon counter-UAS systems from Norway's Kongsberg, designed to counter a wide range of UAV threats. The deliveries are part of the efforts by international partners to provide critical capabilities to Ukraine through the International Fund for Ukraine.

Ukraine's Homegrown Reconnaissance Drone Set for Combat Trials

Ukraine is set to conduct combat trials of the locally-built reconnaissance drone, SpyGun. Developed by Ukrainian engineers and designers, the drone is equipped with two cameras and has a maximum flight time of 160 minutes. It can operate at a range of up to 50 kilometers and features a built-in radio control system for counter-electronic warfare. The drone's primary role is reconnaissance, but it can also be used for fire correction.
