"Reflecting on Rwanda's Genocide: 30 Years Later"
Qutub Minar in New Delhi was illuminated with the colors of the Rwandan national flag in solidarity with the 30th commemoration of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda, which claimed the lives of 800,000 people. India's Secretary (Economic Relations) Dammu Ravi represented the country at the commemoration in Kigali, where Rwanda's President Paul Kagame led the event. Former US President Bill Clinton also attended, calling the genocide the biggest failure of his administration. Dammu Ravi is on a visit to Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya to discuss bilateral interests and explore agricultural farming opportunities.
