Hamburg Fire Prompts Evacuations and Toxic Fume Warning
A large fire engulfed several warehouses in Hamburg, Germany, sending black, chemical-laden smoke drifting over the city. About 140 people were evacuated, and residents were warned to close their windows and avoid the area. The fire involved containers of hydrogen sulfide, a toxic and foul-smelling substance, and halted long-distance trains between Hamburg and other cities. No injuries were reported, but the situation remains dangerous and people are advised to remain indoors.
