The app measures sound energy and not audio, and its accuracy was verified in an acoustics laboratory and published in a scientific journal. To protect yourself from noise exposure, replace old windows with double-pane glass, apply foam insulation to noisy rooms, sleep in rooms as far away from the roadway as possible, invest in heavy window drapes and thick rugs to reduce vibration, and buy earplugs.
