Pro-Palestine Protests Disrupt California Democratic Convention
Pro-Palestine demonstrators interrupted the California Democratic Convention in Sacramento, calling for a cease-fire in Gaza and leading to the cancellation of evening events. Some protesters made it inside the convention center, causing a lockdown with about 200 people inside. Demonstrators also held a sit-in in the lobby, while protests continued outside with activists setting up 500 pairs of shoes to represent children killed in the conflict. No arrests or reports of vandalism were made. The convention, which began on Friday and ends on Sunday, involves endorsing candidates and adopting an official party platform.
