The Australian Open has announced a record $111.5 million prize pool, marking a 16% increase from last year, with significant boosts in qualifying and winner's prize money, alongside expanded player support and welfare initiatives, as part of Tennis Australia's $135 million Summer of Tennis investment to promote the sport's growth and sustainability.
NBA coaches will now receive financial incentives from a prize pool for advancing in the in-season tournament. Concacaf has renamed its men's club championship to "Concacaf Champions Cup" and increased the prize pool to $5 million, more than five times the amount distributed during the most recent CCL. The revamped tournament will feature 27 teams and a single-game final on a weekend. At least five and as many as 10 MLS teams can potentially qualify for the tournament. Seattle Sounders will be the only MLS team to have won the tournament, previously known as the CONCACAF Champions League.
