Gavin Raeburn, co-founder of Playground Games and creator of Forza Horizon, is reportedly leading a new video game development studio that is recruiting racing game development talent. The studio is currently referred to as "Unannounced Startup" and is believed to be creating a new driving game. Other former Playground Games and Sumo Digital developers have also founded Maverick Games, a new independent "AAA studio." Despite losing talent to these new studios, Playground Games remains a significant outfit with over 300 employees across its two studios.
