"Over 300 Local School Districts Delay or Close Due to Subzero Wind Chill"
Over 300 Pittsburgh-area school districts, including Pittsburgh Public Schools, have delayed or canceled classes for Wednesday due to low temperatures and lingering snow, with wind chills making it feel below zero across southwestern Pennsylvania. Pittsburgh's Action Weather chief meteorologist Mike Harvey stated that the low temperature will be 7 degrees in Pittsburgh, with a wind chill advisory in place until noon Wednesday. Pittsburgh Public Schools announced the district's closure for the entire day, while some other districts planned remote-learning days.
