Pittsburgh Public Schools Implements New Start Times and Transportation Plan

Some Pittsburgh Public Schools will be changing their start times for the 2023-2024 school year as part of a new transportation plan approved by the school board. High school students will start 25 minutes later, while other schools will see adjustments ranging from 5 to 30 minutes. The changes aim to address the impact of the national school bus driver shortage and provide more learning opportunities for teachers. No school's end time will exceed 3:55 p.m. The first day of school for all Pittsburgh Public School students is August 28.
