A hacker named Chris has developed a PCIe card called PCIce, which is a holder and controller for an 80mm fan to cool server expansion cards used in desktop builds. The schematics and firmware are open-source, and Chris has manufactured a batch of PCIce cards for sale. This cooling solution is useful for making use of cheap server-purpose cards in desktop builds.
