Boeing Machinists Vote on Contract to Potentially End Strike
Boeing and the machinist union are awaiting the results of a vote that could end a seven-week strike, following a tentative agreement for a 38% pay increase over four years, including a $12,000 ratification bonus. The union, which previously rejected a 35% pay hike, supports the new deal despite Boeing not reinstating its traditional pension plan. Boeing aims to stabilize its business after a $6 billion Q3 loss and a 40% stock decline in 2024.
