One person has died after a car went over a hillside near the Squirrel Hill Tunnel in Pittsburgh. The incident occurred in the outbound lanes on the Parkway East, leading to traffic rerouting for nearly five hours. A 47-year-old man from Westmoreland County was killed in a crash on the eastbound Parkway East on-ramp in Wilkinsburg. The crash occurred when the vehicle crossed a lane of travel, hit an embankment, and rolled onto its roof. The passenger, identified as Michael Zappone of Latrobe, died as a result of the crash. Charges are possible pending an investigation.
