"SpaceX's Polaris Dawn Orbital Mission Delayed to Summer 2024"

The private Polaris Dawn orbital mission, which aims to achieve the first-ever private spacewalk and test SpaceX's Starlink internet service in space, has been delayed from April to summer 2024. The mission will launch four people to Earth orbit in a Crew Dragon capsule atop a Falcon 9 rocket, with the goal of spending up to five days in orbit. The delay is to ensure the completion of mission goals and a safe launch and return. The mission will also raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and is the first of three missions in the Polaris Program, which aims to push the boundaries of private spaceflight.

"SpaceX Sets Sights on 100 Launches in a Year, Marching Forward"

SpaceX successfully launched another batch of 23 Starlink satellites, marking their 89th orbital mission of the year and bringing them closer to their goal of reaching 100 launches in a year. The Falcon 9 booster used for this mission, Booster 1078, flew for the sixth time and successfully landed on the droneship "A Shortfall of Gravitas." SpaceX aims to maximize launch capabilities with a rapid back-to-back launch cadence, with an average pad turnaround time of under 5 days. Looking ahead, there are five more launches scheduled for December, with the potential for more if schedules hold.
