FTC Halts AI-Powered Business Opportunity Scheme Promising Lucrative Online Store Profits

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has taken legal action to shut down a business opportunity scheme operated by Automators, which promised consumers high earnings through online stores using artificial intelligence (AI). The scheme, which attracted $22 million in investments, made false claims about income and profits, and deceived consumers about the success of their system. Most clients lost significant amounts of money, and their stores were often suspended or terminated by Amazon and Walmart for policy violations. The FTC has filed a complaint against the operators, seeking to permanently shut down their operations.
