Ohio House Passes Controversial Bills Targeting LGBTQ+ Youth and Trans Athletes.

The Ohio House of Representatives passed a bill allowing parents to opt their child out of "sexuality content" in school, which opponents say is anti-LGBTQ+ and will force educators to out students. The House also voted on a bill banning trans athletes from participating in sports and prohibiting trans youth from receiving medical care. The bill also requires mental health professionals to screen patients for abuse and comorbidities before diagnosing gender dysphoria.
