Japanese scientists have made a significant breakthrough in the development of an off-the-shelf cancer therapy for cervical cancer. By modifying rejuvenated cytotoxic t lymphocytes (rejTs) to evade the body's natural killer cells, they have achieved promising results in targeting HPV-specific antigens expressed in cervical cancer cells. This advancement could lead to a more feasible and effective treatment for cervical cancer, potentially changing the current prognosis for thousands of women diagnosed with the disease.
